MJTD supports Rice Bags and Cooking Oil to Employees

In order to ease the hardship during these tough situation, Myanmar Japan Thilawa Development Limited supported Rice Bags and Cooking Oil (peanut oil) to more than 120 employees.

Each employee was provided three bags of 25kg Rice and three vises of Cooking Oil (Peanut Oil) by MJTD in the second week of September 2022.

Covid-19 Vaccine Booster Shots to over 80% of employees in Thilawa SEZ

With the cooperation between Ministry of Health and Thilawa Special Economic Zone Management Committee, Myanmar Japan Thilawa Development Limited (MJTD) organized the Covid-19 Vaccination (Booster dose) program starting from March 2022 to until now and it has been provided to 8670 employees in TSEZ. This program is intended for those who have received the initial doses of covid-19 vaccines (two times) and this huge number can be said to over 80% of employees working in Thilawa SEZ have received the Booster shots.

MJTD Initiates a Responsible Business Seminar for Locators in Thilawa SEZ

With the honorable presence of the Myanmar Center for Responsible Business (MCRB), Myanmar Japan Thilawa Development Ltd. (MJTD) initiated a seminar for its locators from Thilawa Special Economic Zone on 5th April 2022. The online seminar aims to provide the key points for doing responsible business based on the analysis of business operations by multinational companies in Myanmar. Together with the MJTD team, a total of 84 locators of the Thilawa Special Economic Zone participated in the seminar.

Covid-19 Vaccination to over 11,000 employees of Thilawa SEZ completed

Over 11,000 employees of various companies and factories at Thilawa Special Economic Zone have completed in receiving Covid-19 vaccine shots on 7th December, 2021. It can be said that nearly 90% of total employees at Thilawa SEZ has been completed the Covid-19 vaccines. The vaccination program was arranged by the cooperation between Thilawa Special Economic Zone Management Committee (TSMC) and Myanmar Japan Thilawa Development Limited (MJTD)

State Counsellor inspects Thilawa Special Economic Zone: Emphasizing on the important of coordination and cooperation for TSEZ in relations

<p>State Counsellor Daw Aung San Su Kyi led Union Minister U Kyaw Tint Swe, U Min Thu, U Thaung Tun, Yangon Regional Chief Minister U Phyo Min Thein, Deputy Minister of Planning and Finance, in his capacity as Chairman of Thilawa SEZ Management Committee, Dr.Set Aung, Japanese Minister to Myanmar Mr.Ichiro Maruyama, Chairman of Myanmar Japan Thilawa Development Limited U Win Aung and President and CEO Mr.Tomoyasu Shimizu attended the ceremony&nbsp; concerning about the progress and ongoing business of the SEZ on August 21st at the Myanmar Japan Thilawa Development Limited.

More than 4,000 students in Thilawa SEZ are provided with over 55 million MMK worth school supplies as MJTD continues to play an active role in CSR movements

After the accomplishment of “Homage Paying Donation” ceremony, Myanmar Japan Thilawa Development (MJTD) organized “Back to School” donation program for the fifth time on the 20th of May, where stationery kits and school supplies were donated to over 4,000 children,  more than 1,200 increase in the total number of children compared to last year.  The ceremony was held at the Moe Kyoe Swan Monastery near the economic zone as joint CSR activities of MJTD together with TSEZ’s locators and investors that support the neighboring community around Thilawa.
